Pet all the puppies!
This one seems obvious but who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by hundreds of happy dogs?! Whether you are bringing your beloved pets with you or if you are simply a dog lover wanting to know more about your favourite breeds, this festival is the place to be. Top tip: Don't go dressed as a giant sausage!
Competitions and shows
Enrol your pup for free into competitions in agility, flyball, and scent work for a fun trial against other attendees or take a spin in the Fun Dog Show for a £5 charity donation, for nostalgic school Sports Day-esque events including sack races and ‘ball and spoon’. If your pooch is part fish, sign them up for a go in the driving and splash pools to cool off in the summer sun.
Pooch health and vet advice
Take a seat on a hay-bale and listen to top vets and pooch health experts give you the top tips on how to keep your pooch healthy and happy. Take a chance to ask questions and learn how to give your dog the best care and attention possible.
Stalls galore!
Walk your pup through over 120 stalls filled with doggie treats and accessories to browse. Try out doggie bakeries, natural pet foods, custom collars and coats as well as fancy dress costumes. Find Dog G8, the dog safety gate featured on Dragon’s Den, and Four Legs One Tale who will paint custom portraits of your dog. But it is not all for your pooch, you’ll find fantastic human food by the droves. Try crepes, crispy duck, or halloumi at one of the many vendors.
Muddy Paws Tavern and Hound Dog Stage
Treat your dog to a beer at the Muddy Paws Tavern with a selection of brews perfect for both you and your pooch. Take on a game of dog bingo or the Big Pup Quiz with doggy themed prizes up for grabs. The tavern is also the meeting place for the Breed Meets so make sure to check the schedule on your visit. Make sure to enjoy some live music at the Hound Dog stage where you will be treated to the sounds of Motown, country, and pop classics all weekend.
