After lunch, get some sea breeze through your hair and jump on a bike for the very popular Brighton coastal tour. Peddle along the vibrant heart of Brighton's city centre seaside, cruise round the pier and amusements to the calm of the stunning white cliffs and coastline where the South Downs meets the English Channel. Destination is the historic and charming village of Rottingdean, for a pint or two (other refreshments available). Distance: 15km (9 miles).

After all that peddling you should stop for a coffee at Black Mocha, an independent cafe found in North Laines or if you are feeling something a little boozier try out The Hope and Ruin on Queen’s Street for a couple of bevs.

Both are only a short walk away from the beautiful Brighton Pavilion Gardens and Museum with its strikingly distinctive Asian design and luxurious interiors. The gardens are luscious and green, with plenty of blossoms in bloom during the spring.
